CHILDREN’S SOLIHULL TENNIS PROVES A HIT!

Weekly
tennis matches for children in Solihull have proved a hit with children and
parents.
Tennis Kids
are organising tournaments on Sunday afternoons at Tudor Grange Leisure
Centre’s indoor courts for U10’s, U12’s and U14’s, aimed at children who
wouldn’t otherwise get the opportunity t play proper matches.
Sri Lankan
pro player, who is organising the weekly sessions said: “There a lot of
children who want to play matches but don’t get the chance. And I know myself
that it is only by playing regular matches that children improve rapidly.
So we are
running both mini tennis and full court tennis every Sunday, with a live draw
on the day, for children of all standards.
Last Sunday
we had a brilliant event with children from 8 to 12 playing a fantastic mini
tennis event, with the winner getting a huge trophy and an £80 football from
our sponsors”
And
importantly, we have a scorer for every match to ensure play”
Last week at
the Tennis Kids tournament in Solihull, 9 year old Jude narrowly beat Sebastian
in the final to win the professional football, which he said he was winning for
his brother. Well, done Jude!
Tennis Kids are offering prizes to players of all standards including t shirts, medals, footballs, netballs and tennis rackets, and entries fill up fast each week.
