Coaches hail arrival of Tennis Kids
Coaches across the UK have given a warm welcome to the children's tennis leagues programme introduced by Tennis Kids.
Midlands tennis coach Jon Baber said “I think it's fantastic that children can now play regular matches, all year round, which is going to massively improve their skill set, and give us as a country more chance of producing champions.
Not only that, it is bound to introduce and encourage more children to play tennis, and because the system designed by Tennis Kids, which is essentially competitive, will make children really want to improve and climb the tables, then that is obviously going to have a knock-on effect for both new recruits and existing children who are coached, to want to increase their coaching and improve the level of tennis, because they'll want to get higher up the ranking.
So I see this really is a win-win for everybody. Children will
benefit, coaches will benefit, and tennis itself will benefit because by
playing more competitive matches, our nation's children will be more likely to
go on to be champions of the future”.
