Show court planned at selected indoor venues!

With the successful launch of Tennis Kids, the organisation is now looking to put in show courts at selected indoor venues so that children really can experience what it's like to play in a Grand Slam!

Simon Haddleton of Tennis Kids explained “We really want to give all children a chance to experience the dream of playing an important tennis match.

Even if you think of Wimbledon then you have Centre Court, Number One Court and then lots of outside courts. All the players that enter always hope to have a chance to play on Centre Court but it is mainly reserved for the very top players.

Here at Tennis Kids we are going to make sure that as many children as possible, from every standard and age range, gets a chance to play on the show courts that we intend to create, so that they can really have an experience of a lifetime in one of their matches”.

Mr Haddleton explained that Tennis Kids would be looking to create a court with an umpire, scoreboard, serving speed machine and possibly even ballboys or ball girls to help out.

Mr Haddleton continued “We know that not everybody in Tennis Kids is going to end up a Wimbledon champion on Centre Court, or even be a professional tennis player. But to give children a chance to sample what it's like to play in an important arena we think it’s a really worthwhile thing to do, particularly for those children that won't end up as champions, because every child deserves an opportunity to play in the best conditions”.

Tennis Kids will be announcing soon the venues which will have a show court installed so watch this space!
